Camaraderie Groups

Camaraderie Groups at Clay Veterans are designed to strengthen connection, rebuild belonging, and ensure that no Veteran or caregiver feels alone. Through small, purpose-driven member groups, Veterans and caregivers come together in consistent, supportive settings led by trained facilitators who understand the value of peer connection. These groups provide safe, respectful spaces for shared experience, mutual support, and meaningful conversation—helping reduce social isolation while fostering trust, understanding, and lasting relationships within the Clay County Veterans community.

Combat Veterans Group

The COMBAT VETERANS GROUP provides a dedicated peer space for Veterans with combat experience to connect with others who understand the realities of service and deployment. Through facilitated discussion and shared experience, members can talk openly, listen, and build trust in an environment grounded in respect and confidentiality. The group strengthens camaraderie, reinforces a sense of belonging, and offers mutual support without pressure—allowing Veterans to engage at their own pace alongside peers who share a common bond.

Caregivers Connection Group

The CAREGIVERS CONNECTION GROUP offers caregivers of Veterans a supportive space to connect with others who understand the demands and responsibilities of the role. Through peer conversation, shared resources, and practical problem-solving, caregivers can exchange insights, learn from one another, and take time for connection in a respectful, understanding environment. The group emphasizes mutual support and respite, helping caregivers feel informed, supported, and less isolated as they care for the Veterans in their lives.

Social Interaction Group

The SOCIAL INTERACTION GROUP is a welcoming, low-pressure space designed for Veterans who may be spending more time at home or feeling disconnected. Through simple, approachable activities and facilitated conversation, the group focuses on ease, familiarity, and gradual connection rather than structured participation. Veterans are encouraged to engage at their own pace, build comfort with others, and rediscover the value of shared time and companionship in a relaxed, supportive setting.

Bereavement Support Group

The BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP provides a compassionate peer setting for surviving spouses, family members, and Veterans who are coping with grief and loss. Through shared experience and guided conversation, participants can connect with others who understand the challenges of loss in a respectful, supportive environment. The group offers space for reflection, understanding, and mutual support—allowing individuals to process grief at their own pace while maintaining connection and community.

Brain Injury Support Group

The BRAIN INJURY SUPPORT GROUP offers Veterans and caregivers a supportive space to connect, share experiences, and access practical guidance related to brain injury and cognitive challenges. Through peer connection and facilitated discussion, participants can learn coping strategies, exchange resources, and better understand available supports. The group emphasizes dignity, inclusion, and empowerment—helping Veterans and caregivers navigate daily challenges while remaining engaged, informed, and connected.
