Community Engagement

After military service ends, the desire to contribute, connect, and lead remains strong. Clay Veterans programs help Veterans continue serving their community in meaningful ways—on their own terms—while building camaraderie.

Through hands-on service projects, volunteer teams, welcoming connection activities, and practical learning workshops, Veterans can stay engaged, share their skills, and strengthen ties both with one another and with the wider Clay County community.

These programs honor continued service as a source of purpose, connection, and opportunity long after separation from the military.

Veterans Community Projects

VETERANS COMMUNITY PROJECTS is a grassroots, veteran-led community engagement group where members identify needs, organize projects, and lead service efforts that support veterans, families, and the Clay County community. Whether visiting fellow veterans, supporting survivors, assisting with community projects, or helping execute Clay Veterans initiatives, your leadership and experience continue to matter.

Veterans Service Teams

VETERAN SERVICE TEAMS are formed from the ground up by veteran volunteers. Members help shape how teams operate, identify opportunities, and strengthen Clay Veterans’ presence throughout the community.

Whether you prefer direct engagement, remembrance work, or mission support, there is a place for you to contribute.

Community Learning Series

COMMUNITY LEARNING SERIES provides veterans and their families with practical, real-world knowledge that supports life beyond military service.

Offered throughout the year at the Veterans Center and with community partners, these sessions focus on topics such as navigating benefits, financial literacy, job readiness, caregiver planning, and estate planning.
