Membership Group Terms & Conditions

By joining or participating in a membership group hosted by Clay Veterans, Inc., you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Purpose of Membership Groups

​

Clay Veterans membership groups are designed to promote:

• Peer connection and camaraderie

• Community engagement and shared purpose

• Information sharing related to veterans and their families

 

Membership groups are peer-based and volunteer-led and are not clinical, therapeutic, legal, or crisis services.

​

2. Eligibility & Inclusion

​

Membership groups are open to veterans, veteran family members, caregivers, and approved community participants.

​

Clay Veterans, Inc. welcomes veterans regardless of discharge characterization, including:

• Honorable

• General (Under Honorable Conditions)

• Other Than Honorable (OTH)

• Bad Conduct

• Dishonorable

 

Participation is not denied based solely on discharge status. Participation may be limited only to ensure safety, policy compliance, or a respectful group environment.

3. Code of Conduct

​

All participants are expected to:

• Treat others with dignity and respect

• Maintain a welcoming, harassment-free environment

• Follow group guidelines and facilitator direction

 

The following behaviors are not permitted:

• Harassment, discrimination, or threatening conduct

• Disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior

• Illegal activity or promotion of violence

• Substance use that compromises safety or participation

 

Clay Veterans, Inc. reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from a group, to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

​

Membership groups may involve personal sharing. Participants agree to respect the privacy of others and not disclose personal information shared in groups without consent.

​

While Clay Veterans encourages confidentiality, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.

​

5. Volunteer-Led & Peer-Based Support

​

Membership groups are facilitated by volunteers or staff who are not acting as licensed professionals. Information shared in groups should not be considered medical, legal, or professional advice.

​

6. External Resources & Referrals

​

Information or referrals shared through membership groups may involve third-party organizations. Eligibility for external services is determined solely by those providers.

​

7. Safety & Emergencies

​

Clay Veterans, Inc. does not provide emergency or crisis services.
If you are experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

​

8. Facilities & Online Platforms

​

Participants agree to use Clay Veterans facilities, meeting spaces, and digital platforms responsibly and in accordance with posted rules and policies.

​

9. Membership Status

​

Membership participation is voluntary and does not create an employment or contractual relationship.

​

Clay Veterans, Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue membership groups or participation as needed.

​

10. Agreement

​

By participating in a Clay Veterans membership group, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
